I started teaching from 1996 and had obtained university teaching experience in Hong Kong, New Zealand and Mainland China. After obtaining a PhD degree in educational psychology, I had a major career shift in 2008 from a faculty teacher to an educational developer. I started at a central teaching and learning unit in University of Hong Kong (HKU) as a Postdoctoral Fellow, overseeing institutional surveys and supporting various teaching initiatives. In 2011, I took up a lecturer position in the same centre and was appointed as the coordinator of a compulsory graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) training programme. In 2014, I accepted a tenured lecturer position at a central unit in Victoria University of Wellington (VUW). Apart from the regular supporting roles as an educational developer, I provided inputs to committees, taught a core module on a postgraduate diploma programme on teaching in higher education, took major responsibility for supporting the international staff, and was the liaison person for two faculties. At the end of 2015, I moved back to the central unit at HKU. From January to October 2016, I served as the acting head of programmes, managing two core programmes and the orientation event for new academic staff. My role now includes being the programme leader of Professional Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (compulsory course for new academic staff), designing and teaching the modules leading to Higher Education Academy (HEA) fellowship, mentoring academic staff for the application to become HEA fellowship, running professional development (PD) activities (e.g. https://youtu.be/S-PNketXeIE), providing consultation for academic staff, conducting teaching development projects and research, developing learning packages for teachers and students, and supporting various teaching initiatives of the university. In my recent jobs, I have been invited to give talks on teaching and learning to universities in Hong Kong, Australia, Macau and Mainland China on a wide range of topics including learning diversity, responsive teaching, assessment, feedback, constructive alignment, student engagement, peer review of teaching, teaching portfolios, adaptive learning, student evaluation of teaching, flipped learning, experiential learning, conceptual change and so on. A MOOC I developed on university teaching is very well received (https://www.coursera.org/learn/university-teaching). It has been used for professional development and in postgraduate courses by many universities and teachers internationally. It is now being translated into Italian.

曾敏博士從1996年開始在大學任教,先後在香港,新西蘭和中國大陸不同大學工作。於2006年獲得香港大學教育心理學博士學位。從2008年開始從事高校教學發展工作。從香港大學(HKU)的教與學促進中心擔任博士後研究員開始,那時她主要負責關於研究生學習體驗的院校研究,同時也參與中心其他教學發展工作。 2011年,擔任該中心中心講師職位,成為香港大學高等教育教與學證書(研究生助教(GTA)培訓課程)的課程組長。 2014年,她遷往惠靈頓維多利亞大學(Victoria University of Wellington), 在該校的教師發展中心擔任講師(終身職位)。在此期間,除了教學發展人員日常的工作以外,她還受邀為學校各類教學委員會提供了相關諮詢,是該校高等教育教學研究生文憑課程的核心模塊授課老師之一,同時負責外籍教師的教學發展,也是兩個院系(商學院和人文社科學院)與學校教師發展中心的聯絡人。 2015年12月,她回到香港大學的教與學促進中心工作。在2016年1月至10月期間,擔任該中心教師專業發展課程的代理主管,負責管理兩個核心課程以及新進教師的介紹會。目前,她在中心的職責包括擔任高等教育教與學專業證書的課程組長,設計和教授英國高等教育學院(Higher Education Academy (HEA))會員課程,指導教師申請英​​國高等教育學院會員,組織教師專業發展活動(例如:https://youtu.be/S-PNketXeIE),為教師提供教學諮詢,開展教學研究項目,為教師和學生開發學習資源,並支持大學其他各種教學和創新活動。她曾被邀請到澳大利亞,新西蘭,香港,澳門和中國大陸的多間大學就多個主題作有關教學的講座和工作坊, 比如:學習多樣性,文化回應教學,評估,反饋,建設性調準,學生投入,同行教學評價,教學檔案,自適應性學習,學生教學評估,翻轉課堂,體驗式學習, 概念轉變等。曾敏博士在高等教育已刊登多篇論文,其中包括SSCI期刊和兩篇書內章節(兩本書籍均獲業內獎項),為學校專項委員會撰寫三篇專題書面報告,並製作兩項電子資源(大學教學和體驗式學習)。她製作的關於大學教學的慕課(MOOC)目前廣受好評https://www.coursera.org/learn/university-teaching),被國際同行認可並被多所大學和老師採納用於教師專業發展和研究生課程材料。目前該課正被意大利一所大學翻譯成意大利語。體驗式學習資源已被指定為支持全校本科生體驗式學習前的主要學習資源,專供港大內部使用。
